Athelas Institute is excited to announce the upcoming exhibition schedule for over 100 artists participating in the Art Therapy Program in Columbia and Woodlawn day programs under the direction of Mr. Michael Patton.

 

On Friday, March 20 from 6-8 PM there will be an Opening reception and art exhibition at 1717 Gwynn Oak Avenue in Woodlawn and on Wednesday May 13 from 6-8 PM at the Athelas Administrative building at 9104 Red Branch Road. Both exhibitions and receptions are sponsored in part through Arts in the Communities grant from the Maryland State Arts Council.

 

The artists on exhibit are very proud that over 50 paintings and sculptures have sold over the past two years including 15 artworks at The American Visionary Art Museum's, "Art in the Round "exhibits in October 2007 and 2008.

 

The public is welcome and encouraged to come and enjoy the freshest, most colorful free expression in 2D and 3D currently on view.

The Athelas Art Therapy Program is delighted to announce that 11 of our artists have artworks were jury selected for the 7th Annual Art in the Round Exhibition, held at the American Visionary Arts Museum on Key Highway in Baltimore, Maryland.

The gala opening reception was held on Tuesday, October 14th from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.  It was sponsored by the Arc of Baltimore and included admission to the Visionary Museum galleries.
